My husband without my knowledge was skipping some days of taking his olanzapine. He had a psychotic episode. The PA filling in for a dr was taking him off some meds (depakote) and up with others. Nothing was working so I requested a dr. He was originally on 5 mgs.

The dr. Put him back on depakote and started with 2.5mgs of olanzapine that was not quite working well enough. So Thursday he increased it to 5 mgs. Today he really went off but not sure but seems a little better now. So being it’s the weekend and no dr in sight, should I give him a 2.5 or a 5 mg tonight and tomorrow? I feel like he needs a steady amount in his brain.

Please give me some advice. Can’t take the stress as I have Parkinson’s.
