I’m 38 yr old female who has suffered anxiety and depression for around 6 years now brought on by a traumatic event. I found that after this happened I felt my whole outlook on life and personality changed that I just didn’t care anymore. This lead me to engage in damaging and toxic behaviours/relationship. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Yes I can relate in so many ways, especially when we are young and life can be hard with those quite common negative people who cannot relate to kindness of others, they look at those problems as a weakness and never think how much they hurt others, it is taken as a sign of weakness
The main problem we need to learn who these people are and protect ourselves.
I am now in my seventies and even pensioners can suffer from hurtful people and we still need to protect ourselves and move on by learning from our errors and brush of the ingnorance of thoughtless negative attitudes of Narccistic peoples we meet throughout our lives
thanks for your reply. I have definitely had my share of narcissistic people. The worst thing is they try and turn it around as though it’s all your fault
Yes my Mother was a real shrew as was my two sisters, you could never win although my Father before He died had similar problems, I am now seventy two and I eventually chased youngest wife Her Husband , by that time my Mother had died. So it worked well too go our own way, It has given me a new lease of life even though it has gone on sine the 1960s. Your having problems move on and start a new live as generally if it is bad now it will never get any better
