side effects after stopping Fluoxetine

I've been on Fluoxetine since 2017 and at the start of 2021 I decided to stop taking it. Since then I've gone from my normal healthy size 8 to a size 10-12.

I'm constantly having the hot flushes, having trouble sleeping or sleeping for to long.I'm constantly hungry, I am also losing my thigh gap and experiencing my thighs rubbing together. Having to shower more frequently.

Has anyone experienced the same thing when they stopped taking the medication? I've already tested for pregnancy and it's not that. This has all started since stopping my medication.

Please talk to your GP or a pharmacist.Just stopping many medications can cause witdrawl symptoms and it is usual to tapper off rather than just stop outright as a result.

Did you just simply stop taking it, rather than tapper down? If you just stopped, then this may be causing your issues. You likely need to tapper off, or just carry on as you are until the drug is completely out of your system, which may take quite some time.Either way, speak to your GP about it, do that they can advise the best thing for you to do
