Ive been taking 100mg Sertraline per day for a few years now and Propranolol 40mg 3 times a day for about the last year too for anxiety, as prescribed by my doctor. The Propranolol was amazing for my anxiety. The Sertraline didn't ever do too much for my anxiety hence also going into the propranolol a year ago.
I’ve been pretty food on both, However, the last few months I am having the most horrific anxiety when I wake up in the morning which eases through the day, but doesn’t entirely go and is getting worse and worse.
As soon as i open my eyes in the morning, its like a wave comes over me. Heart races, hot flush, sweating, tremors and complete dread and fear/panic like I can’t face anything.
I'm not sure what could be the solution. its getting worse each day. My GP suggested increasing Sertraline to 150mg per day.
I’m due to start a new job on Monday and right now I can’t possibly see how I’m going to even function, let alone start it which is panicking me even more anxious.

I have commented above, However you are describing more fully here is it the old job that is causing your Anxiety. Or is it the fear of a new start.
If it is the former you are moving on so the problem should clear when you start the new job. If it is the new job causing a Reactive Anxiety hopefully you will settle down eventually especially if you take the 50mg increase.
However if the Anxiety is caused by something else, you need to approach your Fears and talk them through. Your GP should be able to help, or approach and talk out the problem with someone you trust.
Have you tried Mindfulness Relaxation Technique. I use something similar when going to bed or whenever it is needed. It sounds like you are having Anxiety in anticipation to the day ahead, if that is the case, how are you feeling when you go to bed ????
Before bed I always try and relax before bed, generally I do something I enjoy like a hobbie or a diversion you enjoy before sleep I enjoy looking a Picture travel books, they bring back memories of our past travels. Today I took delivery of a picture book of North Africa and we are both fighting over the book. Before bed time.
Possibly take your drs advice and increase the setraline . With luck you may find the new job decreases the anxiety and panic once you have started it. I have horrid morning panic and anxiety and I dont find my meds help it at all but by the afternoon my anxiety is much bettet. Good luck!
