Help and advice on medication

Hi is have been taking Escitalopram for about 15 days now and I felt really nice on it to start with but now I am feeling a little anxious I was thinking about calling my gp to see if I can have the medication upped to a higher dose as only on 5mg at the moment and could take it to 10mg but I can’t get a doctors call back till next Thursday not tomorrow but the following week seems ages away my other half said it will give me the change to really no if I need to up it or if it’s just a side effect of the medication that needs to work what dose everyone else think about it he’ll need advice

I have taken Lexapro for over a year,and I slept alot in early days,I think it's the physical comfort helps.I feel powerless meanwhile,sometimes can't sit and watch videos, and easy to get sleepy.As the days passed,the comfort disappears,but still a little sleepy.
