My mind is racing and don’t know what to do. Not even sure if my worries are even valid.

Sounds like you need to take some deep breaths and perhaps get some fresh air. You sound overwhelmed and like you need a moment to try and regain some sense of calm.

Your worries don’t need to be validated. If it worries you, then it matters. We can’t always help the things that cause us concern.

Often we later realise that some of our worries didn’t need to be worried about. Frequently, the things we thought might happen don’t turn out how we worried they might, but that doesn’t mean your worries aren’t valid.

Perhaps try writing your worries down - sometimes I find it helpful to just ‘empty’ the thoughts from my head and feel like I don’t have to ‘remember’ them.

In doing that, you could also consider if you think it needs worrying about/ is a bit worrying but doesn’t need to be thought a out right now/doesn’t need to be worried about at all.

Worrying about lots of different things can become overwhelming at times but it will get easier. This anxious state you’re in will pass and won’t last forever.

Take care,

Eleanor

Of course, you are important and any worries you have may be valid. What is important are your feeling and you should try to understand yourself - give yourself the time and energy you deserve!

If they worry you they certainly are valid. Never diss your own feelings. x

If something is bothering you, you need to ask yourself what you want and need in Life

I have found that the free ‘CALM’ App helps me to slow my mind a little when I am feeling anxious, stressed, frightened & in a panic state. It takes a while to work but if you can find 5 minutes in your day, each day, it may help you a little. I know how hard it is to clear these thoughts of ‘I am useless’ & ‘Why can’t I get out of this cycle of feelings’ but there is help out there.I was diagnosed with PTSD 8 years ago & although I have had, & still am, having treatment specifically for PTSD, sometimes the feeling of fright & panic overwhelm me so much that I can’t use the coping mechanisms I have been given. However, if I think of my family and take each hour, day, week at a time I can mostly get through them.

Please don’t think you are alone!

Good luck & keep the faith!
