so true. so very true.

My response to everyone... if I do talk anyone, anymore lately! so I’m not seen as “negative”. But I’ve been withdrawing lately. So I don’t have to fear anyone leaving me or talking about me behind my back.

it's my response too ... "fine" is the answer people want, and it's the answer i'll give, since i am not going to share with anyone what i am going through. i can relate to what you are talking about - withdrawing, not really talking to people.

You just made an associate...I clicked the follow button. So if you need someone to talk to I’m here.

I so hate people who ask the question but don't want to hear the real answer, not that I'd want to share with most of them anyway.

My stock answer ( as most of the time I am feeling beyond dreadful; I won't even use the word) is "all the better for seeing you" or "all the better for being here" which are both true as being with people and going places can get me out of that terrible dark place temporarily whilst I am really busy. It's always there but I have learned that definately most people do NOT want to hear about it, but at the same time I can't lie.

This answer seems to work well for me and is true.

Yeah. Me too. I don’t care to share with anyone what I am going through. Glad I’m not alone !!

you aren't alone. glad to know i am not alone either. i hide what i am going through, i wouldn't dare share with anyone what i am going through. always put on a show like everything is fine.

Hi this is part of social chit chat ie small talk and is socially acceptable behaviour. You can tell good family and friends the truth and talk to them, but generally it's best just to say fine unless you want a discussion about it. I have chronic back pain and sometimes say to that question - my back is still killing me. You can get into some interesting conversations that way and even get tips. I have many a time. I would never say I am depressed though as people don't know how to react. x

You hit the nail on the head...but do we really need those people in our lives that don't want to listen to us when we need them?? I say hell no. Im all about telling it like it is..and for those that "cant handle the truth".. tata I find it less stressful that way...

💯‼️❤️
