How do you remain productive when you suffer from anxiety and depression?

I have had to juggle various roles (voluntary roles, work, studies and family commitments) and anxiety/depression slowed me down big time. I worked out that I can't balance as many commitments are other people can, however, I would like to improve at my own pace.

I try and help in the garden, watch television, or look at my picture books

Break things into small tasks and not expect too much of yourself. Ask for help where you need it or accept that some days some areas need to slip and that’s ok. I just prioritize the most important things and focus on those. Since becoming ill I’ve stipped a lot of commitments and focus on home and work. At first it felt selfish but now I’m used to it and will take on other things again as I get better, it’s self care not selfish
