Hi peanuts here. I have read your posts and it's good to hear from you all. I really think that I can't live with my hubby anymore. He is 17 years older and is like an old man all of a sudden. My Anxiety etc stems from his overpowering need for me to be perfect. I'm not. Feel that I can't breath and walking on egg shells. If I left. Would I be any better? I could be me again. Not someone on a pedistal. Humph!! Xx

Hi Peanutd 1959 and thank you for your post. It is good to hear from you, also. This sounds like a very difficult situation and it is a hard decision to make. It may help you to see your GP and ask for some counselling to be arranged, to enable you to explore these feelings and then your feelings will become clearer and this, in turn, will help you reach your decision. Have you discussed with your husband about how you are feeling? Perhaps this would be a good starting point. Also, Relate offers relationship counselling services. This may be of help to you. Their website address is--

Try to make time for yourself to do things you enjoy. This also increases our self esteem. Are any other members able to help and support Peanutd1959, please?

Thank you and best wishes.

How old are you? In what way has your husband changed and become “like an old man all of a sudden”. Do you think he has physical or mental health problems of his own?
