Just a wee note to say that I had my first day in my new job today and for the first time in ages I actually "felt at home"!!.. OK I have to travel a distance to get there and home but the job and the people make it all worthwhile!!
I have made 4 new friends already and have been invited on 2 lunch dates. One tomorrow and one on Friday. The Solicitor I will be working for only gave me one thing to do today (small spreadsheet) as my day has been taken up with PC training. The system is fairly new so a lot of us are learning how to do this and we are all in the same boat. I know I will need to stick at it and this time I know I will because I really want to stay there. The last positions I had, I was more than happy to go because I didnt actually LIKE the places anyway never mind the job, but this place is great and I really WANT to be there!!
I will take it one day at a time and will just need to give it my best shot and try as hard as I can. I am willing to put the work in and I dont even care if some nights I stay behind just to do things for my own benefit.
I have got a lovely girl, called Lauren, who said she is going to be sitting beside me for most of the day tomorrow to make sure that I am doing things the way I am supposed to so I am looking forward to tomorrow!!
I will keep you posted as to how it goes but I think this is it for me now!!
Lots of love to all my friends on here!!

Many thanks for your heartening message. It sounds as if things are going well for you. You also appear to have a very positive attitude to going forward in your new job.
This is so good for us all to hear.
PLease do keep in touch and let us know how things go for you.
You are something else. You've been through the mill and stuck it out. Now you're getting the big pay off. Good for you and a lesson for us all. Sending you cyber hugs, flowers and candy, and balloons too. Pam
Ahh Pam!! What a lovely thing to say!! Im so chuffed!!... I have had a lot (a lot) of support from my friends on here!! I do actually look forward to getting up in the morning now. I can finally see the light shining at the end of the tunnel and it is so inviting. The next thing I need to do now is re-new my passport and start looking forward to a holiday in the sun next Summer.
Thanks Bob!! I will. That is me over half way through my first week and I am loving it!! I feel more like my old self now and it is all because I am doing what I know and what I enjoy! I know a lot of new people already and am working with a really nice team who have all really welcomed me. I can feel my confidence coming back to me and the more confident I am appearing the more I am picking up and learning. Onwards and upwards!!
