Neurologist request

Hi everyone,

My doctor is refusing to refer me to a neurologist. He said if I go back to the mental health service the mental health service would do this.

I refuse to go back to the mental health service on personal grounds do I have any other options on the nhs?

Can you get a second opinion? Are you in Canada ? I know here (in Canada) our mental health programs typically do not handle neurological referrals....

Hi can you see a different doctor? You do have the right to a second opinion so you can insist on this. Whether or not this would be at the hospital or not I don't know.

Did your doctor say why he refuses unless you go back to your mental health team? This seems quite strange to me. x
