It gets better! You’re building some serious character and compassion for others right now, hanging on by your fingernails. Don’t think that you’re getting lower. You’re getting stronger. You’re getting more sensitive to your own humanity. People who feel deep pain also feel deep love and deep fulfillment later. You are human. Given a heart that hurts. Know that is a gift. Please hang in. Tell me more. What’s going on exactly?

If you can find some of my posts from last week you will see I was feeling exactly as you are feeling right now. This time last week I swear if someone could have given me a gun I think I would have been only too happy to pull the trigger....but one week on, after trying to get some sleep, eat some healthy food, drink plenty of water, getting out into the fresh air just to go for a walk, I feel one hundred times better. What are the problems you have that are making you feel like this? Or if you dont want to say then thats no problem. The mind and the brain are very complex things, they can have you thinking life is not worth living one minute and then that there is nothing better than life the next!!??.....I found getting up and ready (even washing my face and brushing my teeth) this time last week was just way TOO much effort but once you get into it, you can go on to doing other things.

When I came back in from my walk, I then wanted to tidy the house, maybe clean out a cupboard, have a bath, just do SOMETHING so that when I went to bed that night I could list all the things in my head that I had achieved that day. (Water off a duck's back to someone else but a BIG thing to me!!).

I also love music especially Wilson Philips (I dont know if you have heard of them??) but if not you should google and listen to this particular song, it got me through many a troubled day Its called "Hold On". Just listening to the words had me thinking, "This song was written for me!"...

I had lots of chats last week with my friends on here and now I am here chatting to you and asking you to Hold On...I notice you said you never thought you would "feel like this again"? Can I assume that you have felt like this a few times before? If so, I do feel like this on a regular basis but then it leaves as quickly as it came. I am not on medication and just try to ride it out...If you are not able to do that then maybe a chat with your GP would be an idea??

In answer to your other question, Yes, It does get better but you have to try. If you had said this to me last week I would have said "easier said than done" but honestly it will. I was the most pessimistic person last week and would have sold my soul just to go to sleep and not waken up again but I am so glad tonight that this didnt happen.

Please chat and keep chatting. There are so many lovely people on here to chat to. I dont know where I would be without my friends on here and some of them must get fed up listening to me but I know they are always there!!

Let me know how you get on and remember the song.....Hold On (for one more day!!).

Just listened to that song and I've always liked it. I just can't think straight at the minute so much going on in my head. Not sure how to stop them.

It's awful when you sink that low and there are lots of people here who will understand how you're feeling right now. It definitely CAN get better, it just may not seem like it right now. I'm here to chat if you need to x

It feels to hard at the minute. Don't feel like I've got the energy to fight it.

Well just fight getting through one day at a time. Don't look too far ahead. Tiny footsteps; small, achievable goals x
