Fluoxetine
Hi dear,
Hugs and thinking of you. I just posted asking how everyone's doing. I increased my Paxil SSRI from 15 to 30mg and have been kind of dizzy. I think new medicines take time to stabilize...like 2 or 3 weeks. So try to hang in there for a week to see if the meds' side effects will improve. They say not to skip days so the meds have a chance to work. I'm also right alongside you in trying new dosage and I'll be praying for you 😇🤗. Be gentle to yourself...that's what I remind myself too. It's not easy but we are doing our best! I'll try to walk the dog later today too. Try to go outside to walk a little and change scenery. Hugs!
SSRI's can deplete folate (vitamin B9) which could explain the diziness and the mood swings. The best source of folate is from green leafy vegetables - so if you aren't already eating a good range of fruit and veg it may be worth upping that - or trying a folic acid supplement from the chemists.
good that your mood improves during the day - implies that doing things is helping so may be worth trying to get into a routine of doing things. Depression does seem to reverse the link between wanting to do something and doing it so you have to start doing it before you feel the enjoyment.
