Gracekennedy ask your Dr to check active vitamin b12 as serum is grossly inaccurate ,folate, ferritin, iron, vitamin D,Magnesuim,MMA.My sister inlaw had Ects, then on lithium 30yrs, psoriasis ,diabetes ,only in last 3 yrs she was diagnosed with vitaminb12 deficiency. My sister too has suffered 25yrs with anxiety, depression, vertigo where she couldn't lift her head off pillow without vomiting.Mthfr positive B12 deficient.Started methyl b12,folate & B complex a complete different person.Thereis a worldwide epidemic occurring due to misdiagnosis.View the videos on b12awareness.org for life saving info
Thank you for sharing your experiences....your sister and sister and law have both had a tough time! think I got some B12 a while back with the intension on taking it daily.
Yes it is water soluble ,non toxic, because we my hubby & I have permanent nerve damage we have twice weekly injections. It is crucial if your serum is below 500 that you have regular supplements otherwise nerve damage will continue.Sublinqual Methyl B12 are the best choice but you need folate as well to assist in absorption.
