Many people who are at College find they are in a different world away from home with people they do not know and they are having to deal with their needs without the comfort of their home environment.
When I was at College demands of family, study and having to grow up. Long days travelling every day and all the associated Night Classes all seemed to get me down as I had homework to do and three grouped Examinations every term. Eventually I dropped out.
All I can really advise is listen to your CPN and hopefully that will introduce you to coping techniques. Ask about Mindfulness and Breathing Techniques those two together may help you.
Try and have a night out at least once or twice a week, say Friday night, study Saturday and go out at night with friends. You need to take breaks to get away from studying.
When studying take regular breaks, keep changing subjects while studying try not to cram.
Plan your study periods, if you get stuck move on to something else. That is all I can suggest.
I went through something same over last two months, I had to allow myself to walk way and study something else or go for a walk. I am nearly sixty seven
The most important. Do not Cram

Hi York College, Agree with much of what Border Riever says. Dont know how far you're off home & how often you see friends/family there. I was a long way off home & uni was in a very troubled part of the world. You should have a regular weekly break but don't get legless & spend Monday asleep in lecture theatres! Choose your friends wisely & take time getting to know them. Folk are always here. Cramming should only come the week before your finals & only as a "top up" ie, if you don't know it by then ......! Also don't ignore uni services (Chaplaincy, etc) They're there for a reason.
