sertraline 50mg
I've been on 100mg since last March .it took me a good 6 weeks to feel any benefit from them .they did heighten my anxiety slightly but I am glad I am still on them as it helps me cope a bit better with everyday things .I do still get my bad days but that's like each and everyone of us .
Its low in side effects and not addictive. If you are depressed and have agreed for it to be prescribed then....... go for it
Hi the drugs they use now are nothing like the ones many years ago which were very addcitive, so please relax. These are a newer class of drugs. I am on 150 mgs of sertraline and the only side effects I get are a bit of a dry mouth (though that could be caused by other meds I am on) and nasty dreams. I find it helps me a lot.
You would be very unlucky to get any of the serious side effects as they are rare. So chill and look forward to feeling quite a lot better. x
Thank you guys
I dont know this particular one but from an AD point of view I wouldnt say that AD's are addictive as such but I think there is the fear of coming off them which is the addictive part. I was on AD's when I suffered from PND and was on them for a good few years and then weaned myself off them and was off them for 5+ years and had no hesitation going back on them a few years ago as they do help massively so dont feel ashamed or anything that you need a bit of extra help, we all do sometimes and depression and mental health is a lot more common than you think just sadly still has the stigma, there will be plenty of people you know that will be on them that you wont realise !!
