Depression and relationship problems

Hi. I have been suffering from depression for a long time and have many issues that need to be dealt with. My husband and I are also having problems and I am feeling so lost and helpless and don't know where to turn.

Hi Kat-hen21,

Are you receiving treatment at the moment, have you talked to a doctor? If not then I think it would be a good starting point, you could also attend therapy with your husband?

in my advice. i would have a sit down with your husband and tell him how and what you feel in this current time. let him know you seriously want hes help and support. if not then try to see a doctor i know it can be hard talking about your feelings to someone you dont or hardly know. but turn to family first. then if that fails turn to proffesional help. hope i helped

I have tried talking to him, I have asked him to see a doctor. Finally last week, I was close to having a breakdown and so he decided to phone and make us an appointment for councelling. We had the first session, now waiting for him to schedule the second one. I will give the counselling some time, and if it helps, brilliant! If he continues to be verbally and emotionally abusive towards me after some councelling, then he will lose me!!
