great depression site
Oh right i will take a look, Thanks for alerting us .. All helps hey
Thanks very much for letting us know about this. I haven't come across it before. I'll try to post a link for it:
this is a commercial site requiring payment and run by 2 private psychotherapists (with no published qualifications apart from from their own organisation) , that doesn't have any association to any mainstream organisations.
I couldn't see the costs involved. Do you know how much it costs and what you get for your money?
There are some queries about their unusual approach and commercial objectives
experimentalchimp.wordpress...
It all sounds very dodgy to me, but if it works? However be careful how you spend your money
Thanks for the heads-up about this, but I'm a bit confused. What's the link between the site that Smartbob1 originally posted about and the Human Givens stuff that the experimental chimp blog is about? My apologies if i'm missing the blindingly obvious here!
Sorry I thought it was free. It looked good to me xxx
Yes I've just been looking through the stuff. They give you the first bit free, but then it's $99 to upgrade for the full programme. Funny that it's a Sussex organisation, but marketing to USA.
Humangivens and European therapy studies institute, clinical-depression.co.uk , self confidence.co.uk, panic attacks.co.uk, hypnosisdownloads.com, uncommon knowledge etc are all part of the 2 hypnotherapist/ psychotherapist online companies. They sell a choice of some 100 hypnosis recordings and other stuff.
Most of the content seems fairly standard apart from some unusual ideas of trying to improve depression by altering dreaming time. They don't have any evidence for this though so I remain rather sceptical and wouldn't part with money. However they do have quite a lot of text available for free.
