Hi yes been on this drug gave me migraines had to come off of it
Hi yes I've been on these gave me migraines so was taken off of them
A very good drug if used correctly for the short-term or every other day. I used it daily for quite some time for sciatica/severe back pain and anxiety/panic attacks. IF you have been prescribed this, then you NEED to know that this particular medication, usually under the trade name of 'Ativan' is highly addictive and can be difficult to stop using. Valium is usually used to wean off, particularly if the dosage is/was high over a long period of time.
Long-term use also potentially results in depression. Interestingly, anxiety also often gets worse after stopping, so PLEASE do your research and make an informed decision before you start taking it, particularly if it's going to be for the long-term. Generally, .5mg/day is a good place to start.
It helped me immensely but I came to a point where I depended on it far, far too much to get me through the day instead of also relying on other therapeutic sources as well. I found that it impacted badly on memory and appetite but then again, I was using a higher dosage. I also felt somewhat numbed emotionally and that was due to the fact that this drug is part of the benzo family such as Valium etc.
As I said, do your research and fully discuss the pros and cons with your healthcare professional.
Good luck.
