So I'm getting a doctor's appointment and it should go well. I'm not looking forward to it. I'm worried that I will be diagnosed and I don't want that.
It isn't just for the depression, it is for the constant headaches, insomnia, twitching and shaking - progress is being made but I'm worried.

Have you considered being asked for an investigation into orthostatic intolerance?
What are the symptoms of PoTS?
Some people with PoTS just have mild symptoms, but others can be severely affected and find it significantly impacts on their day-to-day life (although the condition is not life threatening).
Typical symptoms are:
dizziness
fainting
headaches
sweating
nausea
poor concentration and memory
purple hands and feet
a feeling of anxiety
chest pains
bowel problems
poor sleep
weakness
blurred vision
shaking
palpitations
neck or shoulder pain
It's easy to mistake these symptoms for signs of low blood pressure, but blood pressure doesn't necessarily fall in PoTS.
Hi,lost 16. Most of us on here have a problem of some kind and need help. Few of us on here are tough enough to cope without some support and its doubtful whether there are many in total in the total population..
Getting a diagnosis can be very painful but its a necessary step to getting the treatment and hopefully support that 95% of the human race with mind problems need.
Prior to ,say, the 1960s diagnosis and support were back in the middle ages and even now are behind most other areas of medicine . Heaven knows how the afflicted managed then (I suspect most did n't ) . At least now you've got a good chance of diagnosis and help . Psychiatry has now reached the 18th century (a lot better than the middle ages) and hopefully in another 50 years will catch up.
The human brain/mind is the most complicated thing we know of in the universe , so it ain't easy for the mind doctors but they are slowly getting there. You're reasonable in being worried but hopefully you'll receive an accurate diagnosis and subsequent help.
Until then remember we all have one totally committed helper. Ourselves. Sometimes we can't do much but its important to be courageous and do all we can ourselves.
