Hello Bertie

Have you discussed all with your GP ?

He may suggest an appointment with your GP

Bertie if you are very Depressed you need to see your GP.

A book is fine if you are over the worst but no book can replace a

Supportive Dr. Or Counsellor. I'm sure if you go to your library you

Will find a shelf of books on Depression.

Good luck and let us know how you get on win Dr.

I am seeing my GP, she is going to increase the dose of my tablets, she has given me stuff to read which has a few book suggestions, I thought the best people to ask were other sufferers, I've done the CBT stuff and it got me nowhere.

Throwing you a handful of star dust to light a dark corner, here catch.

Over the years I have floated on a raft of self help books. I usually check the local library and if I find one that speaks to me I buy it on line. We all respond to different things. I have a list of small things that help lighten the mood. I am indulging in one at the moment via the radio. Pick of the pops! Sometimes the pit opens up when we are not looking. Hoping you find the engery to scramble out.

Monty Don recommends garden therapy now there's a thought.

Rock on.

It's a long story that started a long time ago.

I was a very active person, hobbies included camping, hiking, fishing almost anything outdoors, around September 2007 I think it was, I started to suffer severe back pain, it turns out I have problems with my back/spine I've had one op on back which wasn't a 100% succesful, I lost my job as a fireman, I can't do what I used to like doing, I feel like I'm in a bubble and I can't burst it, I have no concept of time, doctor has put me on Prozac, they're not working, just feel tired and can't be bothered with anything, tearful at times too.
