Started Citalopram today (Update Part 2)

I started taking Citalapram on 20th March (20mg), which im now taking it in the morning after breakfast, as I first tried taking it before any food, but it left me having severe headaches.

Original tablets were Fluxitine, but they just left me feeling totally spaced out, but after over 5 x weeks on the new tablets, I don't have the spaced our feeling, which was horrible.

I'm having good and bad days, but at the moment more bad days than good. Just feel so numb most of the time, no interest in anything, my concentration levels are poor, find I have to write things down quite a bit now, as when I go shopping, I forget things.

I was signed off work for 4 x weeks, and due back to GP in a few days, I really need help as these dark and numb feelings are really getting me down.

Sorry for the long post, but i'm finding people around me don't understand or don't want to listen to me as they find talking about any mental health issues difficult.

Hi Rich873, just saw your post. So sorry for what you are going through. Depression is an awful thing, and I know, many people seem to get or be very uncomfortable with the topic. It's hard for them to understand if they've never been through it, I know just how you feel. I'm sorry you're having more bad days than good, sometimes it takes a while for the melds to kick in, and sometimes it takes a lot of trial and error to get the right ones. I really hope you start feeling better soon. Take care and don't hesitate to post when you're feeling down, there is always someone who cares. Good luck, hope things look up soon for you.

Take care, tkey x
