Ha ha Bob I am here but not for long as it's late. Maybe they have all gone down the pub without us - how dare they? How are you my love? In the pink I hope?

Hello Bev

Had to go to bed, Pax was scratching at the door, and Hazel took the computer off me.

All pink here last night how are you this am. This morning stiff and sore

The farmer is going to have a big bonfire so we are getting rid of all the wood from when we had a wood fire, so we are are a little tender here at the moment

We did not get a holiday last year because of all the work and adaptations so we are all getting exited as Hazel is busy with pen and paper. Are you getting away this year ??.

Hi Bob no I don't go away much at least not abroad coz I have no one to go with and I don't like going on my own. The only one of my sisters to go abroad is my youngest who goes with her hubby and sometimes her son too but I am never wanted or invited. My friends who go abroad always go with their own families. If I do go away it's only in this country to see friends for a few days.

I have looked at coach holidays but the single supplements make them much too expensive.

Bev - just saw your comment there and it made me think...I've been looking at coach holidays for my mum and grandma: Glenton Holidays do tours without single supplements, and they go abroad too.

Will have a look thanks Carmela. Travelsphere do singles ones too but they seem to think that everyone is on their own because they lost a partner and they require specialist types of holidays ie walking in the mountains or something equally daft. They also insist on using very good quality hotels with a tour guide on tap which makes them very expensive.

Me? I just want a week at a beach like everyone else and don't mind sharing a room in a normal hotel or b and b. Bev x

These look quite good Carmela. They are a bit expensive but not outrageously so compared to some. No beach holidays though...

Not going abroad possibly visiting South to Northampton areas around for a few weeks I think. ??? We also want too visit friends in Perthshire as we have not seen then since we lost our old dog Pip. Five years ago.

Last time I was abroad we had to be repatriated as I was in Yemen and part of an associated group were shot dead and the rest kidnapped, must have been about fifteen years ago

Last year was bleak as we were getting house adapted, and was selling my old property. So we really need to get away for a time.

Try Saga, or some of the companies like LEGER are doing Specialist holidays for singles and oldies like me. So there is always someone you can latch on with. We were looking at these holidays a while ago as we have a friend who is on her own and is reluctant to feel like a hanger on.

We all need some time to pull together our thoughts.

Looked at Leger and they are very expensive and charge single supplements. Not sure about Saga but will have a look. Thanks Bob.

My you do lead an exciting life don't you? Were you kidnapped by geurillas or something and forced to walk for weeks in a jungle? Northamptonshire sounds a lot safer - not many geurillas there.
