A day out.

Today we had to go over the Border into Scotland, the weather was very good and it made a change as the day across there was wonderfully mild and when we entered the glen we were shocked to see that snow had fallen and was then virtually gone, the weather had been very strange and had downloaded about two inches of the white stuff and they had had driving blizzards. Then the weather had changed again and the two inches had completely disappeared and this is what we saw. To beat the strangeness we were able to walk around in shirt sleeves it was so mild although we would have loved to see the white stuff as it would have been the first time of the year and it would have been nice to be able to throw a few snowballs for Pax as He had not really played in snow before and He would have gone crazy

When we had to return we visited LIDL and did our shopping and again everyone was walking around , with a few exceptions with no coats on and the temperature was wonderfully mild so we did our shopping and arrived back at home as it was getting dark, again the temperature was very mild and Pax again started to chase the smells, we had tea and again the dog went out for his run around at about 10pm and the temperature was really mild and Hazel went out again to watch over him and again was very mild and was able to walk around with no coat on.

What I am trying to say is for the time of year it felt like a winter holiday in the Med and we both were taken aback as the time of the year ten years ago the weather should be bitterly cold and to make it even more strange we have been picking Raspberries up to last week, all very strange. Is it just me or are we becoming more hardy then we used to be or have I been missing out for the last ten years and I am remembering now what I have been forgetting in the past.

Am I going mad or something, mind I should not ask that here.

Sorry for this pointless post life seems to be rattling my cage at the moment.

Yes the weathe ris very confusing at the moment. Freezing at 0 degrees abd then mild like it ws last night. I had to push the covers off last night as I woke up too hot (and that was with the window open!).

Aww poor Pax. He will be confused with the weather as well. may not get a white christmas :(. but that has its benefits too.

All the best xx

Made me smile reading your post. I am in the North East of Scotland, in wee place called Elgin, between Inverness and Aberdeen. We've had a longer spell of summer weather this year for sure. My daughter is desperate for snow! Had been a few days of it, and kids were super excited, but it didn't lie here as rain came too and it was warmer again. Plenty of it at the ski slopes though! My other half has some sorta personal heating system I envy, where the colder it is the hotter he gets. So while Im in my gloves, scarf and coat...he's in his t-shirt. ;) Scottish med indeed!
