Abbreviations

Am I the only one puzzled by abbreviations? For example RLD? AF? PBC? I have been here a while but never heard of these and goodness knows what newbies make of them. Can we please all remember to limit them as much as possible. x

Yes Cough I for one agree, it's like some lady said recently I am on Carb. That means nothing to me or other people.i thought it meant Carbohydrate. So I agree with you

All those jargon and abbreviation should be left out . It would put people off.

Yes it is difficult, though we can always ask the person what they meant! x

True Sue but there have been just such a lot lately. I tend to ignore the posts if I don't know what they are talking about, I bet a lot of us do...

Would it be possible to have a list somewhere on the site please of the most common abbreviations? x

I thought Carb meant carbohydrate too! Does it not? When I was pregnant with Katie I joint a parenting forum and it took me literally all of my pregnancy to understand the abbreviations! I now know that AF means period, BFP means positive pregnancy test and ROF means something is really funny? Now explain those to me ....
