Classification:
Awake: Normal
Sleep: Not obtained
ECG: Normal sinus rhythm
Clinical Interpretation:
Normal EEG in wakefulness.
Kindly correlate clinically.
EEG Findings:
EEG was done using the modified 10-20 international system of electrode placement.
Computerized analysis of the recording during wakefulness showed a background activity of 8-9Hz well-modulated medium amplitude alpha activity over both the posterior head regions. This activity was symmetrical, synchronous, and reactive to eye opening.
No epileptiform discharges were noted.
Hyperventilation and photic stimulation did not produce any abnormalities.
