Trazadone Side Effects

I’ve been taking Trazodone for a couple years to help me sleep. I’m only taking 50mg, which is half of the prescribed dose. Works wonders, but I’m concerned that it’s affecting my “game”, if you know what I mean.

I’m 62 and in excellent health and exercise regularly but something isn’t quite right. I’m considering weening myself off of this med to see if things improve.

Does anyone have any experience with Trazodone? How did it affect your “game?”

Hi Mate , id'e wean off it there are certain danger's with that med , iv'e just had 6 shots in my back for pain , i'm one of the lucky ones it help , take care,

I've been on trazadone for at least 5 years. the only side effect from it was propripism. Yep, I wake up with a killer hardon every morning like I did when I was 17. That's why most of us guys like it so much. I'm 61. My performance issue came from my circumcision at birth, which we can thank the US military for. I've regrown my foreskin and my sensitivity has come back like I have never had before. Don't know what yours is caused from, but you can usually find a solution. I don't accept being old as a reason for things to happen.

Thanks. I’m not completely sure if Trazodone is the culprit or if stress and being tired from work is the real reason. I agree about our age - I CAN’T be done yet! I’ve never had any problems before.

I have Vitamin V, also, but don’t feel I should need it.

No priapism for me, however. I do occasionally wake up hard as hell, so I can’t be done yet.

Keep taking the Trazodone? Any long term effects or problems?

Sorry to take so long to reply, but Trazadone is safer than any over the counter sleep aids you'll ever use. I haven't heard of anyone having bad side affects, but I'm sure some one has. It may depend on the manufacturer and what they are using as a filler. Trazadone is generic and it's hard to find out where they are manufactured. I've ran into some really bad generics in the past. I doubt the FDA can even keep up with all the bad drugs coming into the US.

You should not be done with sex at your age. You didn't tell me if and when you where circumcised. This could be your culprit.
