Is having unprotected sex with a girl with HPV a bad or dangerous idea or is this a so common thing? What are my chances of contracting this infection?

Unless you planning for children, wear a condom.

This will give you some protection.

She has been diagnosed with a low-risk HPV type and is suffering from vaginal warts. She is using vidarox to remove her warts and it seems to be working for her. I've read that this type of HPV does not cause her cancer, but even when my girlfriend is wart-free, she still can spread the virus to me. So we're feeling so confused and don't know what to do with this. What should she do to get rid of HPV forever? She said she had never had sex before, and I don't know why she got it.

The amazing thing about our immune system is that it will clear the HPV virus in a year or so. We can only treat visual outbreaks like warts. Even if you do use protection, there is still a possibility of contracting the virus. Males have no way to tell if they have any type of the HPV virus besides visually looking for warts. For females, they can only tell by papa smears if they have abnormal cells in their cervix. My ex went for a pap smear and she has low risk HPV. I'm going to assume I also have it because we have unprotected sex. I am not too worried about it tho because like I said, ournimmune system will clear the virus ranging from months to a year.
