I’ve been wiping a lot of blood when I go to the toilet, this morning it was all blood and no poo. I’m in a lot of pain too when I go, before and after!
I’ve been to the doctors before about a year ago and they said it was all fine. Should I be worried? And should I go back?
Thank you

You need to seek medical attention immediately. Is is fresh red blood or older darker reddy brown? Fresh red blood would indicate a polyp or hemorrhoids, darker blood signals something potentially more serious. In any case seek medical attention now and don’t be fobbed off! Good luck
It’s like a dark red colour but there’s loads of it. I’m in a lot of pain when I sit down. I definitely think I need to see someone, they can quite literally get to the bottom of it!
Thank you for the reply. That’s what I did last time but it went away and suddenly came back. I get back pain that seems to coincide with this too, although I’ve always had back problems.
I’ll try and get an appointment tomorrow after work
I am shocked, shocked ! that a doctor would not investigate this symptom when you went a year ago.
Where are you ?
Dark red blood, and repeated incidences of, esp. combined with pain, is frankly potentially a symptom of bowel cancer.
It must ALWAYS be investigated, with colonoscopy and / or X rays.
Don't ' try and get an appointment after work' . CALL IN SICK and get that appointment as a matter of urgency.
INSIST on being seen.
Explain on the phone the symptoms and that you MUST BE SEEN immediately.
If they refuse go straight to A and E and explain everything.
I am not a doctor and it could be something else, but even if it was piles they have to be dealt with ( excised ~which can be done during the colonoscopy ).
BTW they can give you sedation during the colonoscopy ~and it is very relaxing.
( In due course you may need a solicitor, but the medical investigation is more urgent. )
