Hi treyjeff. From what I knew, lumps in the groin area accompanied by sore throat are caused by a number of factors, like cysts, swollen glands and even STDs (sexually transmitted diseases). Cysts are usually harmless, but STDs can be dangerous. If you have recently practiced unprotected sex, you might have an STD. If your lumps do not go away or they get worse, see your doctor to get an accurate diagnosis.
