I’m kinda concerned

I got circumcised about 3 weeks ago, Im about 85% healed, I’m back at work, I’m almost back to my daily life, but when I look at my penis shaft, when I start pulling more skin back there’s this yellowish white slimy stuff, it smells bad, what is it?

I am exactly the same, I had my op just over 3 weeks ago, the smell isnt great and there is a yellow type of flakey discharge around where my stitches were when I pull the skin back.

No idea why i’ve just assumed its part of the healing process to be honest as it’s causing me no pain or discomfort at all. I’m still nervous about giving myself a good wash with soap under the skin where my stitches are guessing this doesnt help the smell.

Your inner foreskin is not supposed to be exposed to air and the chaffing so it starts a process called keratinization- it acclimates itself to the new environment. This is just the shedding of a plethora of skin at such an interval that it's not able to keep it under control until this process is slowed down. You may notice that your glans start the same process. You may wash with soap, but not every time you shower, moderation is key! You have naturally occurring bacteria on your penis that keep infectious bacteria at bay, this is an example of a symbiotic relationship. If you remove the "good" bacteria they may not be able to keep bad bacteria away as easily which can cause infections. The glans and inner foreskin are a mucosa like the inside of your urethra and eyelids- I think you can imagine what soap does to your penis.

It’s an infection- I had two post op. Get to your doctor ASAP and get some treatment. You could end up with a scar if not treated quickly.

Sorry bro I feel your pain!

This is not correct. It is true that yellowish foul smelling puss, is associated with infection. However that puss is accompanied by other symptoms as well. Pain, redness, swelling, fever (all signs of infection).

During the healing process, there is also a minor yellowish discharge, that doesn't smell the best coz of where it comes from, that is natural and part of healing.

It is best to wash your penis after every urination and in the morning and before going to bed to wash it away. But no, it is not an infection. Or at least doesn't have to be, unless accompanied by other symptoms.

No other symptoms, no pain or discomfort at all, its just there

It's not an infection then. If you notice increased pain, redness, more swelling than before and any signs of sickness go see your doctor for antibiotics. Normally I would recommend to see if its fixed itself quickly but since this is your penis and a highly sensitive to infection at this point I'd rather you dont take a chance. Also, wash your hands very well before touching your penis after coming h ok me from the drs- MRSA is on the rise
