Shaft pain

Nervoustobeabarehead profile image

So I’ve got a few lumps in the shaft of my penis following circumcision 15 days ago, the sensitivity is calming down a little and the stitches are coming out over the last few days. I’m still getting really painful erections though, not around the scar line but in my shaft, It’s like it’s really bruised or something. From the base of my penis up to the glans feels like it’s going to pop, and it’s not really swollen or anything either. Anyone else had this pain? Or lumps? Advice needed pleaseee

The pain might be where the doctor injects with local anesthesia. However I agree that 15 days is a long time to be feeling this pain.

The lumps are slowly disappearing so I think you may be right there. Pain in the shaft is still no better sadly

I’m sort of in the same boat as you. I’m 14 days post op and whenever I get an erection the shaft is rather sore (it’s not painful it’s just noticeable) I can still see where the anaesthesia was injected because there’s a small bruise

Do you still have stitches in or have they started to dissolve yet? Mine are almost all still there

I still have all of mine but I booked an appointment to have them taken out on Monday.

Ahhh man I really want to avoid doing that! The thought is so cringey and my glans are still too sore to be messed about with haha. How you been getting on?

I’m getting on pretty good I’ve been able to wear tight boxers since yesterday as the sensitivity has reduced by at least 60% although that’s probably because I’ve been de sensitising it myself by tapping and rubbing the head.

The stitches have done their job within two weeks so there’s no reason to have them in any longer, or so I’ve been told.

Apparently the healing process speeds up once the stitches are out as well

I think that most men feel sore after only 15 days. Did you check with your doctor?

No I didn’t check yet, he said to wait 3 weeks after my surgery and if it was no better then he would need to see me
