Test for prostate cancer

Good Morning folks

I went to the doctors this morning and told him that I usually need to go for a wee in the middle of the night, He said this may be an early sign of prostate cancer - I celebrated my 50th birthday last week. He suggested that I have a blood test although this is not always 100% accurate and also suggested that I have my prostate checked. He said it takes a few seconds but can feel uncomfortable.

Has anyone gone through this procedure before? Is it painful and embarassing?

A little of both but just think of the consequences if you don't. I have an enlarged prostate and same symptoms. It's a finger up the bum. As my doctor did this to me I said to him that my only piece of satisfaction was knowing that some people paid for what he was doing for free! There's nothing to it. a little uncomfortable that lasts 30 sec. Do It!

Yep, once a year. It’s a blood test and a finger up your butt hole. It’s better than dying.

No issue. Just lay face down on the bed, relax. It takes a few seconds.

Embarrassing, yes a little. Painful, no, not for me. Do it.
