post op swelling

hey I got circumcised on the 5th of feb, after the surgery the doctor told me my foreskin was super thick and I was already extremely swollen, it’s been 5 days now and the swelling hasn’t subsided and is almost worse then the first day, is there anything I can do to help if do I just have to suck it up and wait?

I was swollen to three times normal size for about 2 weeks. Saying that everyone is different but I wouldn't be too concerned yet

Heya. Swelling is totally normal - I was swollen for a fair few weeks like a rubber ring round under my glands. It went down eventually along with the sensitivity. It's early days healing, mate. Any worries, call the doc.

My surgeon told me it takes 5 months for the scar tissue to dissipate, thus the swelling to go down. It's been a nightmare for me after three surgeries, infections and unusual scaring, but I'm not normal. I wish you well.

I’d say if it’s not improved, have any redness, seeping of poison- get on to your doctor as soon as possible. After any surgery if there’s an issue don’t hope for the best. Be sure. Best of luck.
