oedema/edema lump 13 days post op

Hi guys, did anyone on here have an edema lump post op?

Saw my doctor today because near enough all my swelling has gone but I noticed one hard lump, about the size of a bean, on my shaft just below the incision. I’d read about cysts and tied veins so felt it appropriate to get it checked. They told me it was edema and told me to wait it out.

If anyone had the same or similar, how long did it last for you? Was it always painful? And was there anything you did that aided it healing?

Swelling (oedema) caused by excess fluid is fairly normal post op. I suspect that time will sort it out.

thank you!

Just a bit concerning that I’ve got no swelling anywhere else other than this solid lump
