Penis Shrinkage and limpness

Quite distressing tbh, in my late thirties. Never had an issue for 30+ years but after undergoing a Rigid cystoscopy to check why I was having urinary issues I started to notice after a week or so after the procedure when going to the toilet that my penis had shrunk and was more limp to touch when in a flacid state, almost like it has died!

All jokes aside, it’s starting to get to me. I have Phimosis but never caused me an issue, urologist didn't examine me before the procedure so im thinking she must have irritated or damaged the nerves in the foreskin whilst pulling back to do the procedure.

She said that it was simply my Prostatitis condition progressing but Im really not sure.

My erections are weaker, much less libido, pain and soreness especially during and after urinating, my life has been turned upside down in an instance.

None of the antibiotics seem to work. Oddly enough, Cystopurin seemed to help but that is usually only recommended for women?

Have been advised to get a circumcision but was told it wouldn't directly help solve the symptoms.

Anyone else have similar problems with sudden shrinkage or limpness?

You posted about this before. Have you managed to arrange for a second opinion? Best of luck!

Oh apologies for that, I have since seen an Andrology consultant who would only discuss my phimosis and lack of libido . Still waiting for 2nd opinion on Urinary symptoms.

He advised a circumcision but then started to talk about the previous patient he saw that day who was shouting at him for Circumcision complications a year after hos procedure…. The whole appointment was a total mess….

I'm starting to really consider going private as the NHS doctors are just overloaded with people and become stressed because of it, I need a more personalised approach. Someone that will actually listen to me, sad that it’s got like this.

Do they do ultrasounds or MRI of the penis? Never considered to ask.

It’s certainly seems a complex situation, and badly handled so far by the medics. Is there any mileage in discussing the way forward with your GP regarding seeing specialists you can work with? Sounds like your current situation is somewhat irretrievable. I’m so sorry.
