I'm still in dilemma whether to get circumcision done or not. I have seen many of the individuals complaining of it's post operative complications. What are your suggestions?,Is it really worth when you compare benifits of it over complications. Could you please share your genuine experiences. I prefer it's cosmetic effects.,but anxious of its side effects.

Benefits vs complications of adult circumcision.
With any surgical procedure, there is always a small risk of complications. If the doctor performing the procedure fails to advise you of this stay away!
If you don't have any difficulty with urination and sexual activity, just be aware once it's done, it's done. So I would advise that if you have any lingering doubts, postpone the surgery until you have made up your mind one way or the other.
Best wishes.
I agree 100% with xsevenx .
I was circumcised just over 2 weeks ago. But the other options were tried and didn't work so circumcision was the smartest idea.
I can't lie, the first week of recovery felt awful, more mentally than physical pain. It took me about 10 days before I was able to wear clothes so I was stuck at home for that time, which I didn't like.
My current situation (now on day 18) is that I returned to work 4 days ago. I wrap my penis up in a little bandage to protect the stitches and soreness of the wound line and glans. Now my life is slowly starting to return to normal. I would say that if it's necessary like in my case, go for it. If your foreskin doesn't give you any problems then keep that piece of treasure!
Reading this has put my mind at ease. Due to have mine done in about 3 weeks. Was nervous. But I know it will be better for the long term.
Glad I could help. It really isn't that bad. It can be uncomfortable at times. I try to reassure myself, by thinking that women go through hell to bring babies into the world so I'm sure I can get through this discomfort. For me, it was my first ever surgery, and I was awake which wasn't the best day of my life but I did just fine. All the best to you!
Edit: also, check my post on my profile and read the replies, they were very helpful and put my mind at ease right after I had the operation
Minor discomfort for a week then the healing accelerates.
I had mine done for cosmetic reasons as I was never happy with a very long foreskin.
It was a great decision and I have zero regrets.
It also makes females far safer from cervical cancer and most women if aware of this would feel the need to see male circumcision more widespread.
Just my opinion and experience. Do t all shoot me.
To be honest, I really wanted to get my long foreskin removed. For that, I have made my mind since I attained puberty. I have seen some of my colleagues didn't have a foreskin during showers at college and I preferred their appearance. But I have few issues with getting leaves off work
And also worried about complications like swelling, infection, and possibility of necrosis of surgical site, failure of achieving orgasm.
I would never have a circumcision done for cosmetic reasons. I value the pleasure in the feel of the foreskin and I don’t mind what other men think of how I look in the shower - and if a partner was bothered by it, I’d know they don’t really care for me. The Greeks were proud of their foreskins - just look at the classic nude statues of sportsmen!
I agree. I would never have the surgery for cosmetic reasons. Mine was done 5 weeks ago, but I should have had it done 5 years ago. I had no pain after the circumcision, but I spent 4 days in the hospital with a nasty infection. It's not worth the risks for looks only. I needed it done and am glad my recovery is coming along with a little setback.
If you are in any doubt, then hold off from having the procedure.
If it isn't a medical necessity, and from you have written it appears to be more of a cosmetic issue, then do please bear in mind that, as 'xsevenx' wrote above, all surgical procedures carry some degree of risk, and no-one can 100% guarantee the outcome.
Take care, and all good wishes.

Been cut for medical reason 4 years ago at 54. I m happy i enjoyed my foreskin and all his nervous connexions for 54 years and wish i ciuld have keep it. I lost a lot of feeling in the penis with the circumcision. I d say i lost 80% of the pleasure the first year. It improved a little but still 70 less pleasure without foreskin now. And now i have a buried penis when flacid and a 1 inch smaller cock whwn erect
I agree with stimer and others.
I had mine due to Zoons balanitis about 5 years ago in my mid fifties.
All is good now but I would rather have not gone through the process. Make sure it is something you really want before committing yourself. Remember if it not for medical reasons in the UK you will have to pay. Get plenty of advice and recomendations before choosing a Surgeon or clinic.
Uwansan can I ask, are you actually thinking of having a circumcision just because you think it will make it look better and that is the only reason? Or do you actually have a tight foreskin or some other problem with your foreskin?
Initial motivation was cosmetic outcome. But there are other issues as well. I'm having a lengthy foreskin and it's really irritating when I'm having intercourse. This bunch of skin gets stuck behind the glans penis. Its really frustrating. Infection risk is the other factor. Even how much I clean, even a small amount of retained semen causes balanitis and infection of the foreskin. I'm suffering from premature ejaculation as well.So when I consider all this physical and physiological impact I thought surgical option is a better one for me.Still it's not finalised. I'm searching for an option.
Yes, if it's not a tight foreskin, and you just have too much of it, then I guess circumcision would be a good solution, i cannot think of any other. Very best of luck with whatever you choose!
If you want to get circumcised, then go for it. Your only regret will be not getting it done earlier. Make sure you research which style you want and get a really good circumciser.
If you have phimosis, then go for it. Otherwise I recommend not to. I'm uncut but I always retract my foreskin or else my pubes hair will get stuck in it. After a few months, I barely feel anything when receive head at all. It's depend on the person I guess.
