Circumcision Day Of

Hello. Can you share your circumcision day of the experiences? I know everyone’s is different, but what happens when you get to the procedure center/hospital? I’m scheduled for Dec 11.

Are you given a shot first? Do you get put under right away? Can you feel any pain if your are under anesthesia? That’s what I will be on.

Do you get to talk with the doctor before the procedure takes place? Does your area get prepped when you are out?

Kind of nervous. tHanks.

Hey mate.

I was circumcised on a private clinic, but thinking most procedures are alike, private or public.

When I arrived to the clinic I had a quick consulting with the surgeon and nurse. I told him which type of Cut I wanted and he examed me quickly and told me, which style was best for me.

After that I got around 5 min to change.

Then followed to the operating room and lay down. The doc did a quick clean, then I got three injections of anesthesia near the base. Honestly it was the only pain I felt during the Hole procedure. And not worse than getting a local vaccination or similar. Then he started operating. We chatted a bit during about the Corona situation and he asked me a few things about the cut style. Showed me how much he would Cut and if I wanted more off. Otherwise I just looked at the ceiling for 30 min and we were done. It wasnt a comfy situation, but I managed to direct my mind. I then changed my clothe and the doc gave me some short instructions about after Care and applying cream. Then I went home.

The hole seance done within an hour. I flew back home later that evening.

Everyone is different, but the procedure was far easier, than I expected. So dont worry to much.

Reflecting: I would have done two things differently. I would not recommend havent the examination and procedure done the same day. There was some talking back and forth with my doctor on style and what was possible. It gave me a little second doubt about style in last minute. Better to be examined another day and then go home to think things though. I also had to travel abroad afterwords in plane. There where no pain and it went well, but I was a bit sensitive mentally, so I would avoid to much socially afterwords.

Hope you could use this.

I agree. Never consent to options and alternatives on the day of surgery. Take plenty of time to decide what is right for you.

I reported to the hospital at 7 am as the urologist does all of his surgeries early in the morning. I was already pre-registered and was assigned to an outpatient room. The first nurse came in and scanned my arm band and asked me what procedure I was in for. I was shy and in a low voice told her I was in for a circumcision. She wrote down some information and another nurse came in and gave me a bag and told me to put all my clothes in the bag except for my socks and to leave those on and to put on the gown she gave me. 15 - 20 minutes later a nurse manager came in with a circumcision consent form for me to sign while another nurse put started an IV in my arm. About 45 minutes after that, a nurse was rolling me down to surgery. The room was really cold but they had some good music playing over the radio. My urologist was at the foot of my bed. The anesthesiologist was at my head, and a nurse was at my side. The nurse told me that she would take my gown as I was transferring from my bed to the stainless steel table. I gave her my gown and slid over to the table as best as I could. The table was really cold but the nurse had a few blankets already microwaved to warm me up some. I felt my arms and legs being strapped to the table and the anesthesiologist hooked up something to my IV, put on a blood pressure cuff, and a sensor on my finger. The urologist asked if I had his permission to bring a student in to watch. I told him it was ok. He asked if I had any final questions before we started. I told him no. He said to start counting backwards from 20. I got maybe 3 numbers finished and I don't remember anything after that. I woke up in recovery with another nurse next to me. She said everything went well and asked what my pain was from 0 to 10. I was a 0. I didn't feel anything. He had used an injection at the base of my penis to keep me from feeling anything. He prescribed some pain meds, but I only used Tylenol throughout as the pain felt more like a persistent paper cut and was easily bearable. My wife made fun of my stitches, calling me frankenweinie. It looked bruised and the stitches grabbed my underwear and clothes, and it took a few weeks to get used to the feeling of the head rubbing against my underwear as it caused more erections than I normally got and the feeling of pressure on the stitches was an interesting feeling. After our son was born, my wife was adamant about getting him circumcised. His was done with a Gomco clamp. During that time the conversation was directed toward me if I had ever thought about getting it done. I had a very long foreskin and was always self-conscious about it during showers at school. There was also an adhesion on the left side, so I couldn't pull it all over the head on that side. I'm very glad to have had it done. The process was really nothing major at all. Even the nurses were reassuring about it. They said I would be happy with it after it was over. I'm very happy with the result.

Read below. In detail, cutasaduld. You already should have been told by your Dr, and had/have any and all relevant questions answered. That means preoperative, what happens if general versus local anesthesia and postoperative questions and instructions. explained. I am assuming you require a medical circumcision. Even if not, inquire and ask as many questions as possible. Good luck

Mine was done under a local anesthetic, and yes, I reviewed expectations with the doctor beforehand. Basically chatted throughout the procedure. I shaved the morning of myself.
