3 weeks post circumcision - swelling under the penis glans, where the incision is

Hi all,

I am currently 3 weeks post circumcision. Most of the stitches have fallen off but I still have this big swelling under the penis glans, where the incision is. I had a big artery there that had a part of it removed with the rest of the foreskin.

My doctor says that it will take time for new blood paths to be formed and the swelling to go down. I am just wondering how long it will take? My penis looks like a worm at the moment and I really hate it...

I would love to hear some experiences and guidance.

Three weeks is still pretty new. Don't even think of having sex until after 6 weeks. The swelling will eventually go away. It was almost 6 months before most of my swelling fully went away. Sometimes there can be trouble spots that get irritated from time to time. Coconut oil really worked well for me to sooth the swelling and irritation. Your penis is just getting used to it new look. It will look amazing after you get past the next few weeks.
