Normal for young guys?

Whenever I masturbate, I never pull the skin right back because I don’t *think* my banjo string is long enough. And any sexual experience I’ve had the girl has always pulled the skin back and it’s always been a bit sore but nothing has actually happened (nothing snapped or bled). Is this something that will become more pain free as I get older, maybe solved with lube (never used any before) or do I need to go and get it seen to? Never been too much of a worry for me but as I get older and seeing more girls I think I should probably make sure all is in order.

It’s not uncommon. But it’s not normal. Get checked out by a doctor. You don’t want to risk getting a torn frenulum.

That sounds like frenulum breve, and in your position, I'd get it checked out by a doctor. It's normal for the foreskin to be more easily retractable as you get older, but the frenulum may not stretch by itself. If a doctor thinks it needs treatment, there are steroid creams which might help, and if that doesn't work, there's an operation called a frenuloplasty, which should fix things.

In the meantime, condoms or lube will probably help, especially with a partner who's dry or tight.

I've had a snapped banjo string btw, and while it was embarrassing and painful at the time, for me personally, it wasn't such a big deal, as I didn't need any actual treatment. The worst part was not being able to have sex for about six weeks. I wasn't supposed to masturbate either, but back then, I could make myself come with almost no movement down there, and my girlfriend and I figured out ways to have a good time anyway. Once I started having sex again, I had to take things super slow, which was kind of weird, but somehow fun for both of us. Other people report a much worse experience with a snapped banjo string though, and need surgery to repair things.

You need to be gentile with pulling your foreskin back. It will stretch and feel comfortable. It needs to be done from an early age and regularly pulled back. Make sure you give it a good clean every day and pull back regularly.

The tip of my penis moves to allow the frenulum to pull it so that there's no danger of any tearing or snapping. Since early age I've regularly pulled the foreskin fully back during sex or masturbation, - maybe this has created extra. ' allowance '. If you gradually and regularly pull further and further back maybe over time you won't feel any discomfort. Moisturising or lube may help, but shouldn't be needed in the end.

Good luck.
