Had a dorsal slit surgery and still can't retract foreskin after 7 days

I had my dorsal slit surgery (single incision at the top) on Feb 2nd afternoon, it was bandaged at the beginning after surgery, but on the same day when I had to urinate, it soaked the bandage so I had to remove it on the same day. The foreskin had been rolled back covering my glans this whole time. I have not been able to retract the foreskin to expose my stitches this whole time, I am concerned that the cut was not deep enough to relieve the tightness and concerned that adhesions might develop because of this. Anyone had this issue? Could it take 2 weeks for the swelling goes down more before I can retract the foreskin? Thanks!

A full circumcision was the way to go… it would have solved your issue permanently… but hind sight is easy….when you can go & see a different urologist & get your surgery revised to a full circumcision… you won’t regret it & that will be a permanent end to your problem😃👍

I specifically did not want a full circumcision. I'm very against it. The idea and fact is, if the circumcision goes well, you're good, but if it goes bad, you're ruined for life of complications and cannot be undone...

A dorsal slit alone is the worst of all outcomes. It is NOT a circumcision anyway because only a cut ALONG the foreskin was made and not a cut AROUND it (circum = around; scision = cut).

You needed to be given a proper complete circumcision right from the start.
