circumcision swelling

Hi all new to this not sure how this page works , i undergone circumcision a couple weeks ago , currently day 18 recovery and have a ring/ doughnut shap swelling brlow the head of the penis, the shaft of the penis swell has healed and stitches have almost all come out bar this ring swell, is this an issue and when would it start to heal? also what could help speed recovery thanks folks👍

hi I am only 2 days in from circumcision after reading up its just normal and takes time settle down 6 to 8 weeks it’s gonna be a long road

ah nice how was your experience!, have you taken your bandages off yet? if so have you noticed a ring shaped swell the same as i described ^

hi the experience of the procedure was better than I thought it would be as any one else was not looking forward to it 🙈but once you get passed the four injections it’s fine the journey begins when the anaesthetic wears off bandages are off very swollen and bruised (my wife said never seen it so big 😂only joking ) yes got a big swollen ring where stitches are as this is normal but it’s early days for me yet

hey guys, about 17 days post op here. Have that ring shaped swelling as well. It has gone down in size, but it's not fully gone yet and doesn't look like it's in a rush.

Are you erections smaller? I measured, and I'm about an inch shorter. A bit worried about that tbh. Not sure if you have any insight there. I'm a grower too, but it's definitely smaller when flacid as well.

had circumcision as an infant. Have always had a “donut” like ring from where it was done/stitched

hi, I’m 5 weeks in since my circumcision and it’s going well only a few stitches left the whole sensitivity where clothes for me personally was not a problem feels normal now, the only thing I have as I can see you have is the swelling where they have cut the skin, it’s all bumpy doesn’t look the best but not terrible, just starting using bio oil to hopefully make things look nicer.

It sounds normal. Takes a good 6-8 weeks to heal and a good 3months before completely fully healed

Did you have a 'high' or 'low' circumcision? A 'high' one leaves most of the very vulnerable mucosal inner layer. This is prone to much greater and longer swelling than the outer skin.

Keep some tight bandages over the swollen part and keep your penis pointing upwards in close-fitting underwear to encourage lymph to drain back to your body rather than causing swelling.

hi bud, honestly i didnt know there was a high or low cut i thought it was just a cut, i presume iv had the high, i will try the upwords technique you mentioned although i imagine this is a bit uncomfortable? nevertheless im willing to do just about anything to help swelling heal
