Hey all, I have a quick question about circumcision recovery.
I'm 3 months out, and have the following issues:
- I get a bit of a post-pee burn occasionally for the past month (so from 8 weeks after circumcision). It's very minor but just aware of it as I am hyper-aware of every sensation in that area. It's almost like 30 seconds after peeing I get an extra drip which stings a little. During the operation my surgeon noticed that I had a large urethra tip and meatus, so that the urethra runs very close to the underside of the penis. During the frenulectomy stitching he must have pricked my urethra as I suddenly felt an extremely sharp pain. he said stitching up that area would be a little difficult as he had to be very careful.
- random aches, feels like deep in the penis tissue. Not a major issue, just been having a few twinges the past few days.
I would go back to the doctor for a review but to be honest he was kind of crazy, didn't take any notes and if I go back I know he'll have no idea who I am. The whole thing had a backalley vibe. Although generally I think he did a good job.
Anyway would be great to know if anyone else had random issues a few months after being circumcised. Thanks!

I use a piece of toilet paper to soak up any residual urine on the tip after going to the bathroom, maybe that will help. Consider going to a different doctor to get the urethra looked at.
thanks yeah I do the toilet paper thing already, sometimes if I rush it I still get an extra drip or two. Going to gp on Monday to get it checked out and have a urologist appointment in a few weeks as well
I get that too. A lot of times I'll be completely done peeing, no drips. And then when I walk away or start moving then a few extra drops will come out
Cool thanks. With a lot of these things it's very hard to work out because none of us have any frame of reference for what's normal. 'Post Micturition Dribble' is considered a symptom but it's very hard to say what level of dribble is significant without standing at a urinal and staring at other men pissing. If dribble wasn't a thing, then as men we wouldn't be taught to shake off the drips at all.
Ya I think it just happens to men as we age. Bcuz I'm 39 and it never used to happen when I was younger. I wouldn't call my dribbles an issue and it doesn't always happen and sometimes it happens more or less. But I have noticed that it happens more now that I've been circumcised. Was circumcised 8 weeks ago. But I think a lot of that is bcuz after I'm done peeing I lm still scared to shake it how I used to, since I still have stitches and I'm scared I might tear the incision. So instead I lie been grabbing my balls and kind of use a bounce and flop method instead of grabbing my shaft and shaking regularly, just til I heal
Yeah I'm 38, it's all downhill from here! And yes exactly the same thing about the stitches, that's probably made me a little less rigorous with the shaking. I read somewhere else that it can take 6 months for the swelling to go down fully. I had a lot of anaesthetic injections in my penis and I do wonder if the internal swelling is also having an effect on flow. Anyway thanks for the solidarity!
I think we’re all different, for me & im only 7 weeks after circumcision it’s the exact opposite. Before I was circumcised when I went for a pee sometimes it would take ages to come out & when it did it was usually just dribbling out & afterwards I sometimes dribbled , I mentioned this to the urologist when he performed the circumcision, I have the exact opposite now , my urine steam is a lot more powerful & I completely empty after a pee even first thing in a morning, I’ve also noticed that my “blast “is better when cumming , all in all it’s so far a very positive outcome for me
