I had my consultation with the urologist today and he’s suggested circumcision as the only solution to stop me from having painful erections. Luckily, I had no infection as I can retract my foreskin to clean and urinate. He noticed that there is still some tightness thus causing it not to fully retract during reaction and sexual activity. Also, had my prostrate checked and no issues. I was nervous for this appointment but now I’m glad I went. Next step is checking with my insurance for coverage.

Well, if you can retract your foreskin properly, what is the reason for painful erection?

If you have short frenulum aka 'frenulum breve' you don't need circumcision. I know doctors in USA are fond of male circumcision like a fetish. It sounds like heal everything.

Take a look frenuloplasty or frenulectomy first, if the reason is just short frenulum.

So glad you managed to get the appointment and get the advice. There are some really knowledgeable guys on here who can add to the support and advice and help you make the right decision for yourself. But at least now your talking to the docs about it and have some options once you make that decision!
