Circumcision Outcome Question

Hi All,

I have scheduled a circumcision consultation with Dr. Cornell in Atlanta. I am debating on if I should get a high and tight cut or a high and moderate cut. For those of you that had the choice on your circumcision, what outcome did you go with and why? I prefer the look of a high cut with moderate tightness but I am concerned over time that it may become too loose. Any help and experience would be great! Thank you - John

This can depend on wether you are a grower or a shower. There are actually a lot of aspects that affect what you should get and what would be most suited to you such as the length of your shaft skin and how far it is able to stretch. The higher the cut is the more inner foreskin there is left over which tends to swell a little more after the procedure. I like the traditional circumcision which is in the middle of both, not too tight nor too loose. I am getting mine done on the 15th so wish me luck.

Jealous! I am just having my initial consultation first. Which doctor are you going with? I think I am in the same boat as you in preference for a more moderate cut.

I had a second circumcision when I was 20 as I wanted the skin to be super-tight and I wanted my frenulum removed. I am delighted with the result. But I am a shower so was able to have it very tight. What Brandon666 says is very true. If you are a grower you don’t want it too tight when flaccid or your penis may be pulled into your body when you have an erection.
