I just got my circumcision done 3 days ago. What to expect in the healing and there is a bandage on. Doctors said to keep the bandage on till next Tuesday. Then visit him back for removal.

My nurse, doctor and surgeon told me to leave bandages on for 24 hours so it’s raw now and it’s so painful I’m on a lot of painkillers and still yet to have a shower 🤣😩

I’m on day 11. My consultant said that bandage would fall off within 48 hours and that was OK - didn’t need to be bandaged once it came off. It actually fell off after about 8 hours!!! And I was nervous so cobbled together a replacement bandage with gauze dressing covered in Vaseline and some micropore tape. Glad I did as still bled a bit and that blood soaked dressing came off at about 48 hrs with a little help from me.

First few days were uncomfortable and tired. From about day 4-8 were the worst - when the night time erections kicked in. Lots of pain and no sleep! Make sure you take pain killers before you go to bed and I found a pack of frozen peas a life saver!!

For me, after about 4-5 night like that it has eased to mild discomfort and is quite manageable. Day 11 and I feel able to get dressed (albeit in very loose shorts!) and do stuff.

A difficult week or two ahead but you’ll be fine buddy!!

hey buddy do you have hard lumps around stitches?...Also i feel like my penis is bit less in size than before when erect, does that goes for you as well?

Not that I’ve noticed! To be honest… I’m still a bit nervous of the wound site so kind of checking it cautiously!!

Yea same as you with regard bandaging. I gave up on day three and just wore tight pants to keep things still.

I let everything hang loose as much as possible… I found tight briefs and pointing him north so uncomfortable - used a Vaselined gauze Over the wound but could only manage to keep underwear on for a couple of hours max!

I’m now at 14 days and am back to dressing normally - ck boxer briefs (yes with stitch line down front!) and point my chap downwards. And all is “manageable”. There is a small amount of discomfort and some challenges with the sensitivity… but I’m trying to “tough it out” so I can get back to some sort of normality.

Have a small amount of spotting from the frenulum but is tiny and manageable. Managed a whole day of being dressed yesterday!! Though was such a relief to get clothes off in the evening!!

I always just let it hang down, vaseline to reduce sticking then padding for protection, usually melonin dressing which has a non stick side. I found movement equalled pain, and tight pants reduced movement. But you right in saying "tough it out". You do need to introduce touch to become accustomed.
