Post circumcision catheter- How common is this.

So I was circumcised 2 days ago. As I could not pee after the surgery; apart from a few drops, a small trickle. I had a catheter inserted, and urine has been flowing perfectly in to the catheter ever since. Is this a good sign that i'll be able to pee normally again soon?

Needing a catheter is very rare, but it may be needed for older men who may anyway have an enlarged prostate. He may get on ok before circumcision, but when the inevitable swelling is added to the prostate condition a catheter may be required until the swelling substantially subsides.

You’ll be fine it’s only because of internal swelling…once that’s settles down everything will be normal 👍
