26 post op circumcision, is this normal?

Its been 26 days after surgery now and I seem to be healing slow. I still have about 4 stitches left but I notice the underside of glans is still swollen. Also noticed a few red bumps underside. What causes the bumps and is this normal? l I visit the doctor again in 3 days.

Bumps may be scar tissue or inflammatory reaction to the stitches . They will all subside with time and if any bump bleeds , oozes pus or starts becoming acutely inflamed and tender to even touch them you might want to visit your doc. Also don't worry abt healing slow. Take it easy and keep the area clean and dry. Cheers !

Thanks for the encouragement. I started taking salt baths a few days ago. Feels great but also hoping this speeds up the healing process.

It may be advisable to get the remaining stitches removed as they will have done their job in 10-12 days. Once stitches are out some swelling will reduce.

You are less than a month into your healing period which may easily be 2 months. Don't stress too much.

Salt baths can be soothing, fight infection and help with swelling.

If you are visiting the doctor in 3 days time. You can ask all the questions in your mind and get a medical view on them.

When I had my circumcision the GP said it would normally be healed in five weeks. Mine was red and sore under and around glans for 15 weeks and 2 stitches were black and visible for 12 weeks. Two years later no problem with pain but lost interest in having sex. Maybe that’s just an age thing.

Hi jgarcia2020 based on you PIC he looks very good for 26 days try to wash in salt water 2 times a day dry him off and massage him with coconut oil also when you are ready the coconut oil is good for masterbation sex and good for your skin take care and good luck

Thanks for the advice. I did start taking salt baths and slowly but surely healing. I’m being cautious regarding masturbation and still holding off for now.
