Pain post circumcision

It's been 3 weeks past my circumcision, I still feel on my incision area pain during erection. My stitches have been completely dissolved and some of them have come off. Is it normal to feel pain still after 3 week post circumcision?

Hi, today marks 3 weeks since my circumcision op and I’m still really struggling sleeping. I wake up maybe every 30-40minutes with an erection as the pain is what wakes me up. It’s not the stitches or anything pulling. It’s like I have a swollen rubber band around the shaft and that’s what is causing the pain. It hasn’t got any easier from day 1 for me.

It is normal to still feel some pain. The pain shouldn't be (on a scale from 1 to 10) greater than 5. Your penis is healing. It's gone through trauma and because your stitches have dissolved it doesn't necessarily mean it's fully healed. Some have said it can take up to a few months until you're 100% healed. I'm ~7 wks post-op and am starting to feel semi normal. Still painful in the Frenulum area though. If you're pain is higher than 10 definitely call your doctor's office schedule a visit and make sure you don't have any underlying infection.
