When will swelling go down? (4 months post op)

So it’s been over 4 months since my surgery and the past month I’ve been sexually active for the first time and the swelling always flares up after sex. Even if I masturbate it swells up a bit but a lot more after sex. Nothing hurts after just swells and looks like a ring around my head. If I don’t have sex or masturbate for a while it goes down some but still there. Any tips or how long might this take to settle down? Should I try to stay away from sex longer? (I feel like I’ve done that enough lol)

Hi I wouldn’t worry about that too much it’s very possible that you could still have slight swelling even when your penis is flaccid but it’s probably not as noticeable until you get an erection. Your penis probably has not yet gotten over the procedure. I would give it a couple of months more to see if it settles/subsides if it doesn’t get an opinion from your gp/urologist 👍

It's pretty normal. Give it some time and it will settle eventually. I have had the same issue for a while after surgery but after that, everything is completely fine. You don't have to stay away from sex or masturbation. You have to consult your surgeon if it hurts.

Hey bro, how long ago were you circumsiced? I was circumsiced 5 months ago but it still is not normal. A bit swollen, and scar a bit raised and hard. Does it get better and if yes in how much time

It will take like several months. But when you start to use it, it will make it all normal again. How many months are you now?

Im almost 6 months in. Scar still tight and a bit raised.

Okay you start use it, use the anti- scar cream, I will be helpful. Other than that stretching the scar line, probably with masturbation or sex often will be effective too.

I would honestly suggest that you wait until the incision area is completely healed inside and out before using it for sexual activities. The more you continue to irritate it the slower it will heal I’m currently 7 months post op.

Hey bro . I got circumsiced 5 months ago. Still a bit swollen, and scar a bit raised, dark, and hard. Did you see improvement from 2 months ago to now? if so, how much? Does inner skin look more similar to shaft now? because mine still has a very noticible color difference
